E-Z Weld Solvent

E-Z Weld makes a broad range of high-strength PVC, CPVC, and ABS solvent cements, primers, cleaners, and thread sealants ideally formulated for a variety of pipe joining applications.

All products are manufactured under tight quality control methods and meet or exceeds industry standards where applicable. The maximum shelf life on unopened E-Z Weld® solvent cements is 3 years for PVC, primers & cleaners, and 2 years for CPVC products.

Available in regular, medium and heavy bodied formulas, our expansive line of medium and fast-set cements accommodate all schedules and sizes, exceeds ASTM standards and comply with all necessary IAPMO (UPC) industry listings. 202 E-Z 1 PVC Cement
Description

E-Z Weld’s E-Z 1 is a regular bodied, fast – set PVC Solvent Cement. This cement is recommended for irrigation application for both the irrigation professional and the do-it-yourselfers. It is formulated to give maximum performance at an economical cost. It is also recommended for use on thin walled small diameter pipe. When used correctly, this product will make consistently leak proof joint.

Application

This cement is good for joining Schedule 40 PVC pipes and fittings. It is approved for cold water pressure applications up to 2” diameter interference fit. It may also be used for non-pressure applications such as drain, waste, vent, sewer, conduit, gas etc. for up to 4” diameter interference fit.  For superior joint use with E-Z Weld Primer, Purple (No.212) or Clear (No. 211). Never add thinner or additive. Never use cement if it is stringy, lumpy or jelly like.

Always follow instructions on the label.

Application temperature:                         32 degree F to 110 degree F.

Storage temperature:                              45 degree F to 110 degree F.

The ASTM has developed the following schedule and may be used as a guide (for relative humidity 60% or less. Sch. 40 size pipe.) eg. a 2” pipe size joint made at 55 degrees F, 50% Relative Humidity and a test pressure of 100 psi would require a cure time of 4 hrs.

Certification

This product is listed by the International Association of Plumbing & Mechanical Officials (IAPMO). It carries the Uniform Plumbing Code (UPC) seal. This cement meets ASTM Standard D 2564.

Quality Assurance

Every batch of cement is carefully checked and monitored to assure consistently high quality standards. Records of every batch are kept.  A sample of every batch is taken and kept at least one year. All ingredients are purchased from approved suppliers. This cement has passed the following test (performed in accordance with ASTM Std. D 2564)

Lap Shear:
250 psi after 2 hours cure time
500 psi after 16 hours cure time
900 psi after 72 hours cure time

Hydrostatic Burst:
400 psi after 2 hours cure time

203 Pool Pro Combo PVC Cement
Description

E-Z Weld Pool Pro Combo is a medium bodied, fast set, light blue, PVC Cement. This cement is specially formulated for applications where working conditions may not be dry. Making a joint while water is present is very risky. Care must be taken and water from the joining surface should be removed. If moisture is still present on the joining surface, work quickly and a longer cure time should be allowed. Light blue color will fade in direct sunlight, thus leaving joint looking clean.

This cement is good for joining Schedule 40 & 80 PVC pipes and fittings up to 8” diameter interference fit. It is approved for cold water pressure applications. It may be used for non-pressure applications such as drain, waste, vent sewer, gas, conduit etc. up to 10” diameter interference fit. For a superior joint use with E-Z Weld Primer, Purple (No.212) Clear (No. 211) Never add thinner or additive. Never use if the cement is stringy, lumpy or jelly like.
